Roger Dean
Ordained through the Assemblies of God ministry, Pastor Roger Dean has served as the Senior Pastor at Church on the Rock since August, 1992. He was raised in a nominally Christian home and, at the age of 14, was water baptized in the Ohio River at Bethlehem, IN (Clark County). Shortly thereafter, he succumbed to the lure of his youth and remained on a wayward path for 14 years until he felt his calling back to the Lord and into discipleship and ministry.

After reaffirming his commitment to God, Dean attended New Life Bible School in Cleveland, TN. For several years he coordinated a singles ministry at First Assembly of God in Madison, IN, while taking Berean School of the Bible courses. It was  through the singles ministry that he met his future wife, Cheryl. They were wed in June, 1993.

In addition to his regular ordained duties, Pastor Roger also currently serves as a member of the southern Indiana Credentials Committee for the Assemblies of God, as a ministry presbyter for the Assemblies of God in the southeastern region and as the President of the South Ripley Ministerial Association.

Pastor Cheryl was raised a follower of the Catholic faith in Erie, PA. It was while she was in high school that she was "saved" and  fully dedicated her life to Christ. Her nursing degree brought her employment in Louisville, KY, and later she moved to Kings Daughter's Hospital in Madison, IN. She remains employed part-time as an RN at KDH.  Pastor Cheryl is fully licensed through the Assemblies of God and serves as the Children’s Pastor at Church on the Rock. Pastor Cheryl and Pastor Roger were blessed with two children: Daniel in 1996, and Sarah in 1999.

Kids Church & Preschoolers

KidsChurchKids church is an exciting ministry developed for children ages 6 (1st grade) through 12 (sixth grade). The kids meet at 9 a.m. Sunday mornings while parents meet for adult Sunday school. With an upbeat style and relevant message, the children are taught the truth of the scriptures through songs, skits and teaching at their level of understanding. Once a month they have a Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade that focuses on elements of Mission work.

Rock Solid Youth Ministries: Pastor Dan and Heather May

D&HMayDan May
Pastor Dan has been the Youth Pastor at Church on the Rock since September, 2001 and received his ministerial certification through the Assemblies of God in 2005. Pastor Dan accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior as a 12-year-old while attending an independent Pentecostal church. He graduated from the Christian school that was affiliated with the independent church, in 1989. During a nine-year-enlistment in the United States Air Force, May drifted away from his walk with the Lord until he stopped attending church altogether. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force in July 1998, he returned to the Versailles area and began attending Church on the Rock. He soon rededicated his life to the Lord and eventually began serving in the church, first as an adult Sunday school leader and later as a Life Group leader. Pastor Dan was asked to take over as the youth ministry leader in 2001 and later experienced the call of God on his life to become a Youth Pastor. Pastor Dan is currently a bi-vocational youth pastor and also works as a production supervisor at Mirrus Corp. in Versailles, IN.
